Dr. Alidad Arabshahi, Physician

Dr. Arabshahi is a native of New Jersey and a Trinity College alumnus where he was inducted to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He completed his medical training at George Washington University in 1998 where he was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

He completed his otolaryngology/head and neck surgery training at the University of Maryland in 2003. He started Potomac Ear, Nose and Throat, PLLC with Dr. Ipakchi in 2004. He is a board certified physician by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is also certified in Sleep Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Arabshahi has since furthered his education by completing the Executive Master of Business Administration program at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

He has been recognized as Northern Virginia Magazine’s Top Doctors from 2010-2020. and has also been honored as a Washingtonian Top Doctor 2016 – 2019. He has received many Patient’s Choice awards. He enjoys treating both kids and adults in the full range of ear nose and throat disorders including facial plastic surgery, sinusitis, hearing disorders, dizziness, thyroid problems, and pediatric disorders.Presently, in addition to being one of the full-time physicians at Potomac Ear, Nose and Throat, PLLC, Dr. Arabshahi is a featured physician at both Potomac View Surgery Center and The Centers for Advanced ENT Care, LLC.

He previously served as the chair of the department of surgery at Sentara Northern Virginia Hospital from 2012-2014.Dr. Arabshahi and his wife, Dornaz, live in McLean, VA. Outside of medicine he enjoys world travel and boating. He is a huge soccer fanatic. He cheers for Liverpool and he’s been to the World Cups in Brazil, South Africa, Germany and the United States. Dr. Alidad Arabshahi has been appointed as a board member of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Office of Governer Terry McAuliffe on the Board for Hearing Aid Specialists and Opticians.
