Collins Boateng is a physician assistant, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Otologic Allergy. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Mr. Boateng received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Bachelor and Master of Science in Physician Assistants Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
As a healthcare provider, Mr. Boateng is a strong believer of educating his patients. During each interaction, Mr. Boateng thoroughly provides his patient with information about their medical condition, disease, and diagnosis, and why a particular treatment is being administered. His goal by educating patients is to keep them actively and cooperatively involved in the decision making process as well as enhance patient satisfaction.
When he is not proudly serving his country (member of the Virginia Army National Guard since 2008) or at a conference expanding his knowledge, Mr. Boateng spends his spare time cooking and participating in various outdoor activities: running, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
